ICC’s Evans earns Top 10 finishes in Livestock Judging

EAST PEORIA, IL — The Illinois Central College livestock judging team competed in the Premier Stockman Livestock Judging Contest hosted by the Clinton Central FFA Chapter in Frankfort, Indiana, on October 17. ICC freshman Blaine Evans, of Thorntown, Indiana, finished among the top ten individuals in both the swine and oral reasons division.

The contest included 12 classes of livestock (beef cattle, swine, and sheep) as well as oral reasons in which the contestants verbally present the logic and reasoning for how they placed a class. Participants included 160 students from 12 community colleges from throughout the nation.

Other ICC team members included: Jay Iliff, Wyoming; Jeremy Shaner, Bradford; Danielle Robinson, Congerville; Rachel Fogle, Congerville; Natalie Weer, Pekin; Emily Tabor, Goodfield; Leslie Hope Johnson, Tremont; Travis Terhaar, Parker City, Indiana; and Jay Streitmatter, Sparland.

The team is coached by Grant Grebner.
