Teaching Online Certificate Program
To support faculty as they continue to expand their teaching skill sets, the College is offering online professional development from Quality Matters, an education-focused non-profit professional development organization.
The Teaching Online Certificate (TOC) program comprises seven workshops that provide fundamental online teaching skills and knowledge of the student’s experience of learning online. The Teaching Online Certificate demonstrates an instructor’s mastery of online teaching.

Approximately 250 ICC faculty (both full-time and adjunct) will participate in this program. Participants will complete all seven online workshops. To successfully participate in the TOC program, faculty must complete each workshop during its specified window of time; the full program runs for eleven non-consecutive weeks. Workshops are asynchronous sessions, but they are not self-paced. Participants will need to log in on the first day of each workshop and work regularly throughout the scheduled dates in order to successfully complete. Participants can expect to spend 8-12 hours per week completing the learning objectives.
Upon review of your information, you will be placed in a cohort. Upon successful completion of the TOC program, participants will receive a stipend of $1,000.
