Register for this Summer’s Blackboard Boot Camp
The Teaching & Learning Center is offering a combination Blackboard Jumpstart/Boot Camp twice this summer. A weekly series will be offered on Tuesdays in May/June, and a daily series will be offered during the first week of August.
An intense, fast-paced workshop series with hands-on activities covering many of the basic Blackboard tools, Blackboard Boot Camp is recommended for faculty planning to teach online or hybrid courses or looking to more fully supplement their face-to-face courses.
This series is designed for both full-time and adjunct faculty who wish to use Blackboard as a supplemental course tool. Both novice and experienced users can benefit from the series.
View the full schedule, as well as a complete workshop description and comments from past participants at Summer 2016 Blackboard Boot Camp. Please plan to attend all four face-to-face sessions to fulfill the full Blackboard Boot Camp.
Part I will focus on customizing your Blackboard course navigation menu and learning how to effectively use the instructor Control Panel.
Part II tackles adding, organizing, and managing content within your Blackboard courses.
Part III takes an in-depth look into assessment and evaluation tools available within Blackboard.
Part IV will wrap-up with discussion and application of additional Blackboard tools and features.
All sessions are scheduled from 9 am – noon in Room TC218, East Peoria Campus. Attendees are welcome to spend time in the afternoon (or in the week in between each session) working in the TLC on the skills you learned during the morning session.
RSVP to the Teaching & Learning Center: Room 240A, [email protected], or (309) 694-8908.
