Please Help! American Cancer Society Fundraiser

To my ICC friends,

I am putting out a request for your help in fighting cancer! Every one of us knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Every one of those people have become either a survivor or a victim. Less than two years ago, my brother Jim was diagnosed with cancer. It was a very difficult road for him but the good news is that he has gone through surgery and treatment and is now doing well!  My brother decided so something to combat this terrible disease and asked me and few others to join him in the fight against cancer. I agreed so we are battling together by running the Chicago Marathon this October and raising money and awareness for the American Cancer Society.  You can read about the great things that the American Cancer Society is doing below.

I ask that you consider joining us in the fight. You can donate as little as $5 and as much as… well, as much as you are willing to give! I have a personal goal to raise at least $1,000 and as a team it is our goal to raise a minimum of $6,700. We are on our way to doing that but need your help.  We have a deadline of September 27th to meet the fundraising goal so if you are considering making a gift, please do so very soon.  It is easy to make a secure gift via credit card, PayPal, or a check made out to the American Cancer Society (which I can forward to them.)  Thanks so much for considering making a gift!  All funds go directly to the American Cancer Society.  I have covered all race fees and costs associated with running in the race and made a contribution as well.

Thanks so much considering helping us reach our goal so that many more people can become survivors and not victims!
