Join the ICC Library for One Book, One College Events in September

Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend One Book, One College events.

This year One Book, One College is exploring the theme of persistence by promoting the reading of The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and various persistence related events.

Upcoming events on the East Peoria Campus include:

  • TED Talk and Discussion- “Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance” by Angela Duckworth
    • Sept. 22 at Noon in Room 213A
  • “Between the Lines” by Jessica Bastian
    • Sept. 6 at 7 pm in Arbor Hall Auditorium
  • Community Leader presentation with Rachel and Maria Kramer
    • Sept. 7 at Noon in Room 212 C/D
  • TED Talk and Discussion- “Three Lessons on Success from an Arab Business Woman” by Leila Hoteit
    • Sept. 16 at Noon in Room 213A
  • Movie matinee with free popcorn
    • Sept. 20 at 1 pm in Room 212 C/D

Attendees can enter to win a copy of The Alchemist at each event. Sign-in sheets are available for students.
