Congrats to Dr. Patrice Hess :: 2017 East Peoria Distinguished Citizen of the Year
The East Peoria Chamber of Commerce surprised Patrice with the award at its 37th annual dinner at the Par-a-Dice Hotel on Fri., Jan. 27.
Several ICC colleagues were in attendance, including Dr. Sheila Quirk-Bailey (keynote speaker for the evening), Bruce Budde, Julie Howar, Pam Dewey, Scott Paulsen, Jennifer Spengler, Janice Kinsinger, and Deb Dougherty. Family and friends present included her father, Dave Hess, of Galena, Ill.; her brother and wife, Nick and Hope Hess, of Dubuque, Iowa; her friends, Mathew Toland and Saul Nache, of Rock Island, Ill.; Diana Fife, of Canton, Ill., and Dr. David Kinsinger of Morton, Ill.
Patrice received the Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year award in 2010 and was the board president in 2015. She continues to serve on the Chamber’s board and is active in the Chamber’s Leadership School. She also serves on the East Peoria Community High School Board, the East Peoria Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Tazewell County Resource Center’s board of directors.
The Chamber’s annual event celebrates business in the local area for the past year, reflects on the year’s programs and events, and features members achievements. The Chamber awards the East Peoria Distinguished Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Company of the Year and Ambassador of the Year, and Green Company of the Year.
