I would like to express my family’s and my appreciation for the kind words and warm gestures so many of you have shown us after the loss of my mother, Emily Miller. Although she never finished high school, she worked as a clerk/typist to make sure her three children earned college degrees. Both she and my father shared the belief that through learning, minds do change. And that’s how we can change the world. My mother was very proud of the educational accomplishments of her children, nieces and nephews. While we will miss her, we are grateful for her life and especially for the strong convictions of faith, education, and hard work that she passed on to us. Thank you once again for helping us honor and remember her life and for helping to others to accomplish the educational goals that she so cherished for her children.
Cheryl Miller Fliege, PhD
VP Marketing and College Communications
Words cannot express how much I appreciate my co-workers with kind words, cards, phone calls, etc. that I have received on the passing of my Dad, Bill Curtis. It has been a tough time for me and my family but with time it will get better. I know my Dad is at peace and is no longer in pain. Once again your kindness during this time is another reason why I’m proud to be apart of the ICC family.
