Baseball Team Gets Noticed in Mississippi…
During a team stop to eat in Wiggins, Mississippi, the ICC baseball players caught the attention of a couple who thought enough of what they witnessed to draft a letter noting their observations. An excerpt of the letter follows:
“My wife and I pulled up about the same time as they did. My wife is handicapped and slow to get in. Your guys were in front of us and insisted we go ahead of them. This continued from the back of the line until they had helped us to the very front of the line, allowing us in front of them. I don’t know if I have ever seen a more polite and caring group of young men in my life. And once inside, there were as well behaved and polite. If all young athletes were this pleasant, what an inspiration they could be. Tell your guys thanks!”
The writer of that letter is from Brooklyn, Mississippi.
To Coach Brett Kelley and all of his players, thank you and congratulations on representing the college, Cougar athletics, and your team so positively!
