Student Government Association (SGA)
The SGA represents the student body by making recommendations to the administration regarding student concerns. Conducts polls regarding needs, opinions and attitudes of students. Provides student representation on College committees. Assists with charitable and civic activities and with College events and activities.
Each year the students of ICC elect a student member of the Board of Trustees. The Board, which is composed of eight members elected from the college district, adopts and enforces policies and rules for financing, governing, operating, and administering the college. The student trustee has an advisory vote on the Board, may make and second motions, attend executive sessions, and express opinions and preferences on votes taken during the monthly business meetings. Election packets are available in early February from the Office of Student Activities Administrative Assistant.
