Volleyball Alum Featured by Peoria Journal Star

Assistant Volleyball Coach Lindsay Herman was featured in the Journal Star this weekend!

Lindsay, an ICC Alum, has come back to work with the ICC Volleyball Team in addition to finishing up her Master’s Degree in Sports Management at Illinois State University.

Lindsay boasts an outstanding record, earning a pair of Mid-Illini Conference titles with the Metamora Redbirds in 08-09, at ICC earning a team-high 529 kills and 55 aces and named an Honorable Mention All-American as a college freshman and leading the team in kills (492), aces (61) and digs (527) to go with 22 double-doubles in 42 of the Cougars’ matches as a sophomore.

“(Going to ICC) was the smartest decision I could have made. My freshman year, I got to play with all the sophomores, who had been on the (2009 NJCAA Division II) national championship team, so there was a level expectation that they had for us. That just sort of set the program expectations for when I became a sophomore. It was just more fun that way to hold everyone to a higher standard.”
