ICC Loses 2nd in a Row at Lewis & Clark; L&C 68, ICC 46
The ICC women’s basketball team dropped their third game in the last 4 outings on Wednesday night, getting drubbed at Lewis & Clark CC 68-46 in Godfrey. It was the same old story for the Cougars, as they coughed the ball up 26 times, including 10 in the first quarter, which made them play from behind all night. This was a Region 24 contest, so ICC drops to 1-1 in region play and 12-5 overall.
Lewis and Clark did not provide official stats or a running score sheet but ICC came out in slow motion, allowing the Blazers to take a 17-11 lead after the first quarter and a 33-20 at half. The Cougars did play a slightly more spirited third quarter but only made up one point, trailing 50-38 after the third quarter. The Blazers stayed steady in the fourth quarter while ICC still could find no groove and the Cougars were outscored 18-8 to lead to the blow-out loss.
