Women’s Basketball Host PINK Game

Women’s Basketball held their annual “Pink Game” on Wednesday, February 15 to assist in the fight against breast cancer. Together with Parkland College, the two teams were able to donate $1240 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Komen is the ONLY organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease. Their efforts helped reduce deaths from breast cancer by 38 percent between 1989-2014 and they won’t stop until their promise to eradicate breast cancer is fulfilled. Pictured are the Parkland Head Coach, Mike Lindmann, Susan G. Komen Board President, Nick Esser, and ICC Head Coach, Karrie Redeker. The second picture features both the Parkland and ICC teams, coaches, and SGK Board President. Thank you for supporting this important effort for the Cure.
