My fitness journey started during my youth. I have always stayed active and my jobs/employment over the years require me to stay physically fit and mentally healthy. As for the present, I decided this year during the month of May to enroll in a fitness class in the fall term.
As for me, I choose for my workout routine Tuesday and Thursday morning, 9:45 am – 11:15 am. I start each morning at home with some stretching, sit-ups and push-ups. The days at the gym I begin my workout routine with more stretching, sit-ups and push-ups. Afterward I work out with the speedbag, heavy bag, walking, jogging and running on the track, ten to twenty minutes on the stationary bike and ending with the weight circuit.
My mother is my inspiration; she is at the gym 3 times a week. Oh, and one more bit of important information, my mother is 84 years young. Now, we can’t have mom outdoing us, can we?
The advice I would offer is take time to think about a workout routine. Set goals, think positive about your goals, pray for wisdom and guidance, and whatever you do, start out SLOW, baby steps. My motto is: “I may not be 19 years old, but I can still dream the dream.” What say you?
The greatest benefits I gain from exercise is the physical advancement for my body, mental health and awareness and the promotion of a greater quality toward and for this life.
