Remember Alice in Wonderland’s tea party or Ratty’s wicker luncheon-basket filled with scrumptious springtime picnic lunch in The Wind in the Willows? ICC instructors Catharine Schaidle and Pam Dewey reflect on how food plays a role in literature, with the emphasis on cuisine of India and China in the ICC “Between the Lines” presentation “General Tso’s Chicken or Tandoori Chicken?” on Tuesday, March 1, at 7 pm, at the Arbor Auditorium on ICC’s North Campus, located at 5407 N. University St., Peoria.
Samples of ethnic snacks will be provided at the event.
“Between the Lines” is a lecture series presented by the faculty members of the English, Humanities and Language Studies Department at ICC. The goal of the series is to offer literary presentations which will interest students and people in the community as well as promote reading literacy and scholarly study.
The programs are free and open to the public.
