Step 1 Apply to ICC

Apply online — it’s free and easy!

Step 2 Send the Paperwork

All transfer level English/composition, math, and general education courses at ICC require an ACT score of 18 on the reading section of the ACT. If you have completed the equivalent of ENG 110 with a C or better at an accredited institution, you have met this requisite.

Provide an unofficial copy of your college/university transcript or official ACT scores to:

Email: [email protected] (fastest option)
Mail: Enrollment Services, 1 College Drive, East Peoria, IL 61635-0001
Fax: (309) 694-8461

If you do not meet the prerequisite or if you have not taken college courses, go schedule an appointment to take a placement test. If you have questions or need assistance registering for the test, contact the Testing Center at (309) 694-5234.

Allow 24 business hours for processing of unofficial transcripts before moving to the next step.

Step 3 Register for Classes

If the course you are taking has no other prerequisites than the Compass/ACT prerequisite, you can register online for the course you have selected.

Math or Science Courses

  • The class number and course subject of the class at ICC including information on lecture and lab, if applicable (IE: BIOL 110 section 1234 lab 567).
  • The department will review your unofficial transcript submitted in Step 2 and will reply via email with your approval. The department will process the registration.

If you are planning to take an English or composition course, call (309) 694-5342 for assistance in selecting the proper course and getting registered. The departmental dean will review your submitted unofficial transcript for departmental approval.

Prerequisite Courses

If you are taking a course with a content prerequisite, please contact the appropriate academic department for the course you are interested in taking. The departmental dean will review your submitted unofficial transcript for departmental approval.

Step 4 Make Financial Arrangements

You must login to eServices to view your tuition charges and tuition due date. ICC no longer sends tuition bills.
