International Students

Following are the admissions requirements for individuals wishing to secure a student visa to attend. The deadline for admission for International students is July 15th for fall and November 1st for spring. This is to insure that you have enough time to receive your I-20 and go to the consulate to apply for your F-1 or student visa. We are authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students according to SEVIS.

Step 1 Complete International Student Application Forms

You will need to download, print, and fill out the follow forms: (Online submissions are not available)

Step 2 Provide official high school and college (if applicable) transcripts

Transcripts must be submitted with full English translation. If you have international college credit you’d like to have ICC consider as transfer credit, you must have your transcript evaluated through World Education Services.

Step 3 Provide your TOEFL score report; IELTS score or CET4 score

Your TOEFL score report can be sent directly to Illinois Central College, using our Institutional TOEFL code, 1312. A minimum score of 500/paper-based, 173/computer-based, or 59 Internet-Based TOEFL (IBT) score is required for admittance. For testing locations visit www.toefl.org. An IELTS score of 5.0 or a CET4 score of 425 will also qualify you for admission.

Step 4 Provide additional materials from your financial sponsor

A current official bank account history, showing account activity (debits and credits) for the period of three consecutive months. These statements must be translated into English, must be signed by a bank official, and bear the seal of the financial institution. A letter from his/her employer, on company letterhead, stating length of employment and annual salary.

Additional requirements if you are applying from within the United States:

  • A photocopy of your I-20 and I-94
  • A photocopy of the visa page from your passport
  • Official transcript(s) sent directly from previous U.S. educational institutions to the attention of Dr. Barbara Burton
