General Motor Automotive Service Educational Program (GM-ASEP)

The General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (GM ASEP) is a NATEF certified, two-year cooperative work training program preparing students to be automotive service technicians for General Motors dealerships.

During this two-year program, students will alternate between eight weeks of training at ICC and eight weeks of paid internship at their sponsoring GM dealership or ACDelco Professional Service Center. They will study General Motors service topics such as electronics, computerized systems, and mechanical systems. All aspects of vehicle repair are included in this program.

Career Opportunities

After completing GM ASEP at ICC, students will have trained in the latest diagnostic and repair techniques available from General Motors. Graduates of the program will have mastered over 80% of the GM Service Training Standards. They will be in a prime position as GM ASEP graduates to secure rewarding jobs and have the opportunity for advancement in the dealership.
